Mohamed Izzadeen
Mohamed Izzadeen Mohamed Naufer (born 17 January 1981) is a Sri Lankan footballer, who plays either on the left wing or as a striker for Army SC and the Sri Lanka national football team. On 6 September 2013 Izzadeen scored 4 goals against Bhutan in the 2013 SAFF Championship. He has also played for Sri Lanka in the 2006 AFC Challenge Cup and 2010 AFC Challenge Cups. He has scored 9 goals in his career for Sri Lanka at International level. The Nehru Cup was an international association football tournament organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), named after the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. It was launched in 1982, but was not held from 1998 to 2006. After the trophy was won by Iraq in 1997, it was reinstated only in 2007 before officially being held last in 2012 and was replaced in 2017. 2009 Nehru Cup
The 2009 Nehru Cup International Football Tournament also known as the ONGC Nehru Cup due to the competition's sponsorship by ONGC, was the 14th edition of the Nehru Cup a friendly tournament organized by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The 14th edition of the Nehru Cup International Football Tournament was played in the round-robin league format and the final was held on 31 August. Along with the host nation India, Sri Lanka, Lebanon, Syria and Kyrgyzstan competed in the 15-day tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi . The total prize money for this tournament was $100,000. The champion team took away a prize of $40,000, the runners-up received $20,000 while the third place team got $10,000. 2010 AFC Challenge Cup
The 2010 AFC Challenge Cup was the third edition of the tournament which was held from 16–27 February 2010 in Sri Lanka. India, the defending champions, fielded their under-23 team for this tournament in preparation for the 2010 Asian Games later that year. The champions, North Korea, qualified for the 2011 Asian Cup. Qualification The finals saw three automatic qualifiers joined by five teams from the qualification phase.
