Mohabat Khan Marri
Mir Mohabat Khan Marri is a Pakistani politician and a former Member of the Senate of Pakistan. Political career He belongs to Baluchistan province, and was elected to the Senate of Pakistan on general seat as Pakistan Muslim League (PML) candidate. His tenure began in March 2006, and ended in March 2012. As a Senator he has served in Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Resources, Standing Committee on Food, Agriculture and Livestock and as a Chairman of Standing Committee on Local Government and Rural Development. He was a Provincial Minister for Revenue, Religious, Excise and Minorities Affairs during 1999-2002 Balochistan Assembly Cabinet. Senate of Pakistan or Aiwān-e-Bālā Pākistān ( ur, , , literally "Pakistan upper house"), is the upper legislative chamber of the bicameral legislature of Pakistan, and together with the National Assembly makes up the Parliament of Pakistan. Balochistan Assembly
The Provincial Assembly of Balochistan is a unicameral legislature of elected representatives of the Pakistani province of Balochistan, and is located in Quetta, the provincial capital. It was established under Article 106 of the Constitution of Pakistan having a total of 65 seats, with 51 general seats, 11 seats reserved for women and 3 reserved for non-Muslims. The Assembly has 51 directly elected Members of the Provincial Assembly, representing constituencies from each district, as well as 11 seats reserved for women and 3 for non-Muslims. Kalsoom Parveen ur, (1945 – December 2020) was a Pakistani politician who served as a member of the Senate from March 2003 until her death on 21 December 2020. Education She did Bachelor of Education from the Balochistan University in 1994. She held the Master of Philosophy degree in History. Political career She was elected to the Senate of Pakistan on a reserved seat for women as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) (PML-Q) in the 2003 Senate election. She ran for the seat of Senate in 2009 Pakistani Senate election as an independent candidate after she was not given ticket by PML (Q) and was successfully re-elected.
