Modum FK
Modum Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club from Modum, founded in 2007 as a merger between the first teams of Ã…mot IF, IL Moingen, Vikersund IF, Haugfoss IF, Bingen BK and Geithus IL. The merger plans had been ongoing for some time. It entered the league system for the 2008 season, taking the place of Ã…mot IF in the Second Division. Ã…mot started anew in the Fourth Division. However, already in the first season Modum were relegated. The 2012 season of the ''3. divisjon'', the fourth highest association football league for men in Norway. Between 22 and 26 games (depending on group size) are played in 12 groups, with 3 points given for wins and 1 for draws. Twelve group winners are promoted to the 2. divisjon. Modum
Modum is a municipality in Buskerud in Viken county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Vikersund. The municipality of Modum was established on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The area has a long tradition of skiing with several famous skiers. Modum is home to one of the largest ski jumping hills in the world, Vikersundbakken which is situated in Heggen, outside Geithus. The hill record, established in 2017 is a jump of . Ã…mot Idrettsforening is a Norwegian multisports club located in Ã…mot. It has sections for boxing, handball, football and cross-country skiing. The football team being the most prominent, it played in the Second Division as late as 2007, but for the next season its first team merged with others to become Modum FK. Norwegian Second Division
The Norwegian Second Division, also called 2. divisjon and often referred to as PostNord-ligaen for sponsorship reasons, is the third-highest level of the Norwegian football league system. There are 28 teams divided into two groups, and at the end of the season the winner of each group earns promotion to the second-highest division, 1. divisjon. The teams finishing in second place in their respective group will qualify for the promotion play-offs, where they will face each other. The winner will play against the 14th placed team in 1. divisjon for promotion. The bottom three teams in each group are relegated to 3. divisjon. 2. divisjon is the highest league a reserve team can participate in, and only reserve teams from the Eliteserien clubs (first tier) are allowed to enter. Norwegian Third Division
The Norwegian Third Division, also called 3. divisjon, is the fourth highest division of the men's football league in Norway. Like the rest of the Norwegian football league system, the season runs from spring to autumn, running approximately from April to October. After the 2010 season, the league was reorganised, reducing the number of teams to 164 and halving the number of parallel sections from 24 to 12. After the 2016 season, the league was again reorganised, reducing the number of teams from 164 to 84, and halved the number of groups from twelve to six. Ole Gunnar Fidjestøl
Ole Gunnar Fidjestøl (born 21 March 1960) is a Norwegian former ski jumper. Career He won silver medals in the team large hill event at the Nordic World Ski Championships (1987, 1989) as well as a bronze medal in the team large hill at the 1988 Winter Olympics. Fidjestøl won the 1988 Ski Flying World Championships in Oberstdorf and earned four additional career victories from 1985 to 1989. He won also four individual titles and one team title at the national level.
