Mochanam
''Mochanam'' is a 1978 Indian Malayalam film, directed by Thoppil Bhasi and produced by P. Stanley. The film stars Jayan, Sukumari, Jayabharathi and Unnimary in the lead roles. The film has musical score by G. Devarajan. Plot Balachandran (Jayan) is in love with his employee Sreedevi (Jayabharathi). His mother would prefer that he marry his cousin Meera (Unnimary). However, when he proposes to Sreedevi, she reveals that she's happily engaged to be married to Soman (Sukumaran). She resigns from her job due to office gossip. Sreedevi's ends up regretting her marriage when she realizes that her husband had been having an affair for a long time with his domestic help Janu. MD Rajendran
M. D. Rajendran is a malayalam poet ,lyricist and novelist. His father Ponkunnam Damodaran was a poet and activist. His siblings, M D Rathnamma and M D Ajayaghosh are also writers in malayalam. He was employed with All India Radio and retired from service in 2012. He has written lyrics for nearly 40 malayalam films. He has also composed music for a few films as well as albums. His collection of songs are published as a book titled ' Nin Thumbu Kettiyitta Churul Mudiyil' . His debut film as a lyricist was Mochanam in 1979. Thoppil Bhaskara Pillai, known as Thoppil Bhasi (8 April 1924 – 8 December 1992) was an Indian Malayalam-language playwright, screenwriter, and film director. He was associated with the communist movement in Kerala and his play '' Ningalenne Communistakki'' (''You Made Me a Communist'') is considered to be a groundbreaking event in the history of Malayalam theatre. Edappal Ponnamkuzhi Veettil Parameswaran Sukumaran Nair (10 June 1948 – 16 June 1997), known mononymously as Sukumaran, was an Indian actor and producer of Malayalam films. Sukumaran became a popular film star in Malayalam cinema during the 1970s.
