Mjøndalen IF Fotball – commonly known as Mjøndalen IF, and (especially locally) Mjøndar'n or MIF – is the football department of Mjøndalen IF. Founded in 1910, the club is located in Mjøndalen, Viken, Norway. The team plays its home matches in the 4,350-capacity Consto Arena. Mjøndalen competes in Obos Ligaen, the second tier in the Norwegian football league system having been relegated from the Eliteserien at the end of the 2021 season. Consto Arena
Consto Arena (until 2012 known as Nedre Eiker Stadion, between 2012 and 2015 as Mjøndalen Stadion and between 2015 and 2018 as Isachsen Stadion) is a football stadium located at Mjøndalen in Nedre Eiker, Norway. It is the home ground of Mjøndalen IF in the Eliteserien, providing a capacity for 4,350 spectators. History Nedre Eiker Stadion was opened in 1950. During the team's golden age from the late 1960s through the 1980s, the stadium hosted several UEFA Cup and UEFA Cup Winners' Cup games. The record attendance dates from 1968, when 15,300 people attended the Norwegian Football Cup semi-final against Rosenborg. The venue was completely renovated in 2011-12 and received artificial turf with under-soil heating. The stadium got a new main stand with an under-roof seated capacity of 1,500 spectators and was renamed to Mjøndalen Stadion after the renovation. 1936 Norwegian Football Cup
The 1936 Norwegian Football Cup was the 35th season of the Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. The tournament was open for all members of NFF, except those from Northern Norway. The final was played at Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo on 25 October 1936, and was contested by the defending champions Fredrikstad and the two-time former winners Mjøndalen. The 1987–88 UEFA Cup was won by Bayer Leverkusen on penalty kicks over Español. The 1992 Tippeligaen was the 48th completed season of top division football in Norway. Each team played 22 games with 3 points given for wins and 1 for draws. Number eleven and twelve are relegated.
