Mithu Alur (born 27 March 1943 and usually referred to as Dr. Mithu Alur) is the founder chairperson of The Spastic Society of India – now rechristened ADAPT – Able Disable All People Together. She is an educator, disability rights activist, researcher, writer and published author on issues concerning people with disability in India. Alur is a pioneer in the care and education of people with Neuro-Muscular and Developmental Disabilities, like cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities. After her daughter Malini Chib was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, she realised that the care of people with conditions like her daughter was non-existent in India. Hence she trained in England and started the Spastics Society of India (SSI) in 1972. Mithu Mukherjee ( bn, মিঠু মুখার্জী ) is a former Indian actress who appeared in Hindi as well as Bengali cinema. She made her debut in a 1971 Bengali film ''Shesh Parba'' directed by Chitta Bose. She was catapulted to stardom after she had donned the role of Marjina in Dinen Gupta's ''Marjina Abdulla'' (1973) and sustained it with further roles in Bengali films such as ''Nishi Kanya'' (1973), ''Mouchak'' (1974), ''Swayamsiddha'' (1975), ''Hotel Snow Fox'' (1976), ''Bhagyachakra'' (1980) and ''Sandhi'' (1980). Mithu Sen is an Indian conceptual artist. Born in West Bengal in 1971. Early life and education Sen was born in 1971 in West Bengal and obtained Bachelor's and Master's degrees in painting from Kala Bhavan at Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan, West Bengal. Later, she completed a post-graduate program (visiting) at the Glasgow School of Art in the United Kingdom on the Charles Wallace India Trust Award for 2000–2001. Mithali Dorai Raj (born 3 December 1982) is an Indian cricketer and a former captain of the India women's national cricket team from 2004 to 2022. Mithali is the highest run-scorer in women's international cricket and is considered one of the greatest cricketers of all time. Mithali holds numerous records in international cricket.
