Mithu Sen
Mithu Sen is an Indian conceptual artist. Born in West Bengal in 1971. Early life and education Sen was born in 1971 in West Bengal and obtained Bachelor's and Master's degrees in painting from Kala Bhavan at Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan, West Bengal. Later, she completed a post-graduate program (visiting) at the Glasgow School of Art in the United Kingdom on the Charles Wallace India Trust Award for 2000–2001. Sen's Bengali poetry has been published in collected volumes, as well as in magazines and journals since she was a young adult. Work Sen’s conceptual practice with a varied set of surfaces, materials, and processes that emerge in the wake of her regular negotiations with her milieu. Kala Bhavana
Kala Bhavana (Institute of Fine Arts) is the fine arts faculty of Visva-Bharati University, in Shantiniketan, India. It is an institution of education and research in visual arts, founded in 1919, it was established by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. History Kala Bhavana was established in 1919. Although art historians have not been able to determine its exact date of foundation, it celebrated its centenary in 2019. Asit Kumar Haldar was an art teacher at Santiniketan Vidyalaya from 1911 to 1915 and was in charge of Kala Bhavana from 1919 to 1921. Visva-Bharati University
Visva-Bharati () is a public central university and an Institution of National Importance located in Shantiniketan, West Bengal, India. It was founded by Rabindranath Tagore who called it ''Visva-Bharati'', which means the communion of the world with India. Until independence it was a college. Santiniketan
Santiniketan is a neighbourhood of Bolpur town in the Bolpur subdivision of Birbhum district in West Bengal, India, approximately 152 km north of Kolkata. Glasgow School Of Art
The Glasgow School of Art (GSA; gd, Sgoil-ealain Ghlaschu) is a higher education art school based in Glasgow, Scotland, offering undergraduate degrees, post-graduate awards (both taught and research-led), and PhDs in architecture, fine art, and design. The school is housed in a number of buildings in the centre of Glasgow, upon Garnethill, an area first developed by William Harley of Blythswood Hill in the early 1800s. The Skoda Prize
THE ŠKODA PRIZE, also known as The Škoda Prize for Indian Contemporary Art, was one of the prestigious contemporary art awards in the Indian art scene to recognize an Indian artist under 45 years of age. Announced on May 26, 2010, a total reward of Rs 1 million was awarded to artist Mithu Sen by internationally known artist Anish Kapoor after two rounds of long list and short list selection. Since 2011, the awards would also be succeeded by a book publication titled "THE ŠKODA PRIZE twenty 2011-12" featuring top twenty selected artists from the Indian contemporary scene. Nathalie Obadia
Nathalie Obadia (born 14 March 1962) is a French art gallery owner. She specialises in contemporary art. Early life She was born in Toulouse, France. As a teenager, Nathalie Obadia completed an internship at Daniel Varenne, in Genova, and Adrien Maeght, in Paris. She studied a master's degree in Law at the Paris Institute of Political Studies, then worked at the Galerie Daniel Templon from 1988 to 1992. Career She opened her first gallery in 1993, in Marais in Paris. The Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg is an art museum in central Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, opened 1994. It presents modern and contemporary art and is financed by the ''Kunststiftung Volkswagen.'' The Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) is a private modern and contemporary art museum with locations in New Delhi and Noida.
