Mitchell Dell "Mitch" Sprengelmeyer (born January 9, 1975) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Career Sprengelmeyer, a three time All-American, played collegiate tennis for Clemson University from 1994 to 1997. In 1997, Sprengelmeyer was the NCAA ITA Senior Player of the Year and also won the Van Nostrand Memorial Award, the first person to win both in the same year.'' 2001 Wimbledon Championships
The 2001 Wimbledon Championships was a tennis tournament played on grass courts at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London in the United Kingdom, held from 25 June to 9 July 2001. It was the 115th edition of the Wimbledon Championships, part of the 2001 ATP and WTA Tours, and it was the third Grand Slam tennis event of the year. Marcus Hilpert (born 1 July 1971) is a former professional tennis player from Germany. Early years Hilpert was born in India, to a Khasi Indian mother and German father. His father worked as a diplomat, so Hilpert also lived in Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Sudan during his childhood. Despite his mother being an Indian national, Hilpert wasn't eligible to represent the country of his birth in Davis Cup tennis as he only held a German passport. Dirk Dier (born 16 February 1972) is a former professional tennis player from Germany. Career Dier, an under 12s and 14s national champion, was a semi finalist in the Orange Bowl. In 1990, he defeated Leander Paes to win the boys' singles event in the Australian Open and also finished runner-up in the juniors at Queen's that year. He appeared in the main draw of a Grand Slam for the first time at the 1990 Wimbledon Championships, where he lost in the opening round to countryman Michael Stich. His other two Grand Slam appearances came in 1996. Jason Weir-Smith (born 8 August 1975) is a former professional tennis player from South Africa. Career Weir-Smith won the doubles title at the Coffee Bowl junior tournament in 1993, with Juan Antonio Marín as his partner. A doubles specialist, Weir-Smith played collegiate tennis at Texas Christian University and was a doubles All-American while playing with the Horned Frogs in 1996 and 1997. The ATP Tour is a worldwide top-tier tennis tour for men organized by the Association of Tennis Professionals. The second-tier tour is the ATP Challenger Tour and the third-tier is the ITF Men's World Tennis Tour. The equivalent women's organisation is the WTA Tour.
