Mitch Hannahs
Mitchell Linn Hannahs (born September 16, 1967) in an American college baseball coach, currently serving as head coach of the Indiana State Sycamores baseball program. He was named to that position prior to the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball season, 2014 season. He previously served as president of Lincoln Trail College. He also was a member of the 1989 College Baseball All-America Team, selected by the American Baseball Coaches Association. Playing career Hannahs was a standout second baseman for the Sycamores, helping them to 172 wins and three NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, NCAA Tournament appearances in his four seasons. He continues to rank highly in many offensive categories in the all-time Indiana State record book, including sixth in batting average, second in runs, and fourth in hits. Indiana State Sycamores Baseball
The Indiana State Sycamores baseball team is the NCAA Division I baseball program of Indiana State University, located in Terre Haute, Indiana. It is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference. The team last played in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship in 2019. Their first season was 1896. The Sycamores have had 12 All-Americans, 26 Major Leaguers, and more than 2,070 victories. The team's most successful season was in 1986, when the team appeared in the College World Series and finished with a record of 48–21. The Sycamores have appeared in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship in 1979, 1983, 1984, 1987, 1989, 1995, 2012, 2014, 2019 and 2021. They appeared in the NAIA Baseball World Series in 1958 and won the NAIA "Midwest" District Championship in 1964. 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament
The 2014 NCAA Division I baseball tournament began on Friday, May 30, 2014 as part of the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball season. The 64 team double elimination tournament concluded with the 2014 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, which started on June 14, 2014, and ended on June 25, 2014 with the Vanderbilt Commodores upsetting the 3rd seed Virginia Cavaliers 3–2 in the decisive Game 3. The 64 participating NCAA Division I college baseball teams were selected out of an eligible 298 teams. A total of 31 teams were awarded an automatic bid as champions of their conferences, and 33 teams were selected at-large by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee. Teams were divided into 16 regionals of four teams which conducted a double-elimination tournament. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball tournament and 2021 College World Series. The College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska, at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, ended on June 30, 2021. 2019 Indiana State Sycamores Baseball Team
The 2019 Indiana State Sycamores baseball team represented Indiana State University during the 2019 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Sycamores played their home games at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stadium, Sycamore Stadium as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference. They were led by head coach Mitch Hannahs, in his 6th season at Indiana State.
