Missouri Tigers Women's Basketball
The Missouri Tigers women's basketball team represents the University of Missouri and competes in the NCAA Division I. The team plays its home games at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri, and plays in the Southeastern Conference. Roster History Missouri first fielded a women's team during the 1974–1975 season. The team's best post-season result was appearing in the Sweet Sixteen (1982 and 2001). Alief Hastings High School
Alief Hastings High School is a public high school in the Alief area of Houston, Texas, United States. Originally Alief Junior-Senior High School, which became Alief Middle School, housed all of the secondary students in the district. The school's present location opened, while still under construction, for the fall semester of 1972. All high school students moved to that building, with the first graduating class in May 1973. Parkway Central High School is a public high school in Chesterfield, Missouri that is part of the Parkway School District. History Five elementary school districts merged to form the Parkway Consolidated School District. The name for the district was proposed by a fourth grader from Barretts Elementary School. The name "Parkway" was in honor of the Daniel Boone Parkway, which is also known as Highway 40 (now I-64). The road passes through the center of the district. The word ''Consolidated'' was later dropped as sounding too rural in the rapidly growing and changing district. Parkway Central was the first high school built in the new district. The Old Dominion Monarchs women’s basketball team (formerly the Lady Monarchs) represents Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. The team currently competes in the NCAA Division I as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. The ODU Monarchs women's basketball team contributed to the initial rise in popularity of women's intercollegiate basketball in the United States in the 1970s.
