Mississippi Highway 302 (MS 302), also known as Goodman Road, is the main east-west highway in DeSoto County, Mississippi, extending into Marshall County to the east. It runs approximately south of the Mississippi/Tennessee state line, from a western terminus at Mississippi Highway 161 (old U.S. Route 61 or US 61) in Walls to US 72 just west of Mount Pleasant. Route description MS 302, along with Goodman Road, begins at the northern edge of the Mississippi Delta region in DeSoto County in the town of Walls at an intersection with MS 161. It heads due east as a four-lane divided highway to have an interchange with US 61 before leaving Walls, climbing out of the Delta, and narrowing to an undivided four-lane as it passes through the neighboring community of Lynchburg, where it has an intersection with MS 301. Interstate 69 In Mississippi
The proposed Interstate 69 (I-69) extension from Indianapolis southwest to Texas currently has a short piece completed in the US state of Mississippi, south of Memphis, Tennessee. The south end is an at-grade intersection with the former route of Mississippi Highway 304 (MS 304) near Tunica Resorts, where MS 713 continues west to U.S. Highway 61 (US 61), and the route continues north to the Mississippi state line. Much of the route overlaps MS 304, which intersects US 61 farther north than MS 713. Arkabutla Lake is a reservoir on the Coldwater River in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It was created following the construction of the Arkabutla Dam in 1940 on the Coldwater River. Interstate 269 (I-269) is a beltway around the city of Memphis, Tennessee, and its adjacent suburban areas in southwestern Tennessee and northern Mississippi, completed in October 2018.
