Miss World 1952, the 2nd edition of the Miss World, was held on 14 November 1952 at the Lyceum Ballroom in London, United Kingdom. 11 contestants competed for the crown. May-Louise Flodin (5 September 1934 – 4 February 2011) was a Swedish model and beauty queen who won the Miss World Miss World is the oldest existing international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Since his death in 2000, Morley's widow, Julia Morley, has co-chaired the pageant. Along with Miss Universe, Miss Int ... contest in 1952, representing of Sweden. She was the second winner, and was crowned by her predecessor, Kiki Håkansson, also from Sweden. Eric Morley
Eric Douglas Morley (26 September 1918 – 9 November 2000) was a British TV host and the founder of the Miss World pageant and ''Come Dancing'' TV programme. His wife, Julia Morley, is now head of the pageant and his son Steve Douglas is one of its presenters. Life and career Morley was born in Holborn, London, England.
