Miss Universe Vietnam
The Miss Universe Vietnam is a biennial (two-year frequent) national beauty pageant in Vietnam to select the country's representative to the Miss Universe, one of the Big Four international beauty pageants, Big Four major international beauty pageants. Along with Miss Vietnam and Miss World Vietnam, Miss Universe Vietnam is one of the Big Three national beauty pageants. The current Miss Universe Vietnam titleholder is Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Châu from Tây Ninh province, Tây Ninh, who was crowned on June 25, 2022 in Hồ Chí Minh City. She represented Vietnam in Miss Universe 2022, but was unplaced. Miss Universe Vietnam 2008
Miss Universe Vietnam 2008, the 1st Miss Universe Vietnam pageant, was held on May 31, 2008, at the Vinpearl Land resort in Nha Trang, Khánh Hoà, Vietnam. 20 contestants competed for the crown. The first winner of the pageant was Nguyễn Thùy Lâm, the host delegate for the Miss Universe 2008 pageant held July 14, 2008, also in Nha Trang. She made the Top 15. H'Hen Niê
H'Hen Niê ( ; born 15 May 1992) is a Vietnamese model and beauty pageant titleholder of the Rade ethnic minority group. After winning Miss Universe Vietnam 2017, she represented Vietnam at Miss Universe 2018 and placed in the top 5. She was the first Miss Universe participant from Vietnam to be from an ethnic minority group. Early life H'Hen Niê was born in Cư M’gar, Đắk Lắk Province to parents Y'Krin Êban and H'Ngơn Niê. She comes from the Rade ethnic minority, and speaks the Rade language, a Chamic language, as her native language. H'Hen did not learn Vietnamese until eighth grade. H'Hen is the third oldest out of six children, and during her youth, she worked on a coffee farm to assist her family. Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 was the 3rd edition of the Miss Universe Vietnam pageant. It was held on January 6, 2018 at Crown Convention Center, Nha Trang. Miss Universe Vietnam 2015 Phạm Thị Hương crowned her successor H'Hen Niê at the end of the event. H'Hen Niê was appointed as Miss Universe Vietnam 2018 to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand, finishing in the Top 5. Later, first runner-up Hoàng Thùy became Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 and represented the country at Miss Universe 2019 Miss Universe 2019 was the 68th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Stage 1 of the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, United States on 8 December 2019. Miss Universe Vietnam 2015 was the 2nd edition of the Miss Universe Vietnam pageant. After a 7-year hiatus, Miss Universe Vietnam returned in 2015.
