A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. Barcarena is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Pará adjacent the Tocantins River. It has a population of 127,027 and is part of the Belém metropolitan area. The city's economy relies largely on agriculture and bauxite. There are also facilities for pig iron nearby. Miss Brazil 2009 ( pt, Miss Brasil 2009) was the 55th edition of the Miss Brazil pageant. Miss Brazil 2011
The Miss Brazil 2011, the 57th edition of the Miss Brazil pageant, was held in São Paulo on July 23, 2011. The winner was Priscila Machado, who went on to represent Brazil in the 2011 Miss Universe pageant. The 1st runner-up went on to and the 2nd runner-up participated in Miss Continente Americano 2011. Castanhal
Castanhal is a city near the eastern edge of the state of Pará, Northern Brazil. It is located some 65 km east of the state's capital Belém and 50 km inland SE of the Bay of Marajo.
