Miss Grand South Africa 2023
Miss Grand South Africa 2023 was the eighth edition of the Miss Grand South Africa beauty pageant, held on July 22, 2023, at the Atterbury Theatre in South Africa's capital, Pretoria. Twenty-five candidates who qualified for the national pageant through the virtual casting competed for the title, and a 19-year-old former Miss Teen World from Johannesburg, Gugulethu Mayisela, was elected the winner. She was crowned by Miss Grand South Africa 2022, Lu Juan Mzyk, and obtain the right to represent the country at the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant, which is scheduled to be in Vietnam on October 25. The grand final of the pageant was hosted by a Pretoria-based model, Tumelo Matela, and former Mister Global South Africa, Ruan Scheepers. Gugulethu Mayisela (born April 19, 2004) is a South African model and beauty pageant titleholder who became the first black woman to win the Miss Teen World 2022 in Ecuador. (original in Spanish) She is also crowned Miss Grand South Africa 2023 and represented South Africa at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam. Limpopo is the northernmost province of South Africa. It is named after the Limpopo River, which forms the province's western and northern borders. North West is a province of South Africa. Its capital is Mahikeng. The province is located to the west of the major population centre of Gauteng and south of Botswana. Miss Grand International 2023 was the eleventh edition of the Miss Grand International pageant, held on October 25, 2023 at the Phú Thọ Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. At the end of the event, Isabella Menin of Brazil crowned Luciana Fuster of Peru as Miss Grand International 2023, marking the country's second victory in the pageant's history.
