Miss Ethnic Vietnam is the national level beauty contest of Vietnam, which was born in 2007. The contest was originally organized by ''CIAT'', but in 2013 the organizers discontinued the contest. In 2021, the contest is once again announced to return to 2022 by ''Nova Entertainment''. Haiphong ( vi, Hải Phòng, ), or Hải Phòng, is a major industrial city and the third-largest in Vietnam. Miss Universe Vietnam 2015 was the 2nd edition of the Miss Universe Vietnam pageant. After a 7-year hiatus, Miss Universe Vietnam returned in 2015. The grand finale was held on October 3, 2015 at Crown Convention Center, Nha Trang, the exact venue for Miss Universe 2008. Miss Universe Vietnam 2008 Nguyễn Thùy Lâm crowned her successor Phạm Thị Hương at the end of the event. Miss Universe 2016 was the 65th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Mall of Asia Arena, in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines on January 30, 2017. This is the second time in the history of the competition that the pageant skipped an entire year, following the 2014 pageant which was held in January 2015. Miss Earth 2019, the 19th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on October 26, 2019, at Okada Manila in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines where Nguyễn Phương Khánh of Vietnam was succeeded by Nellys Pimentel of Puerto Rico at the end of the event. Miss Earth 2022 was the 22nd Miss Earth pageant, held on November 29, 2022, at the Okada Manila in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines. Destiny Wagner of Belize crowned Mina Sue Choi of South Korea as her successor at the end of the event. This is the first time South Korea won the Miss Earth pageant, one of the Big Four international beauty pageants.
