Miss Asia Pacific International 2017
Miss Asia Pacific International 2017 (MAPI) is a beauty pageant in Asia. It began in the 1960s, the oldest in Asia. It is based in the Philippines with forty-two women from all over the world. In 2016, Miss Asia Pacific International came under new ownership and management. The finals were held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila on Thursday, November 29, 2016. Francielly Ouriques of Brazil took the crown. The swimsuit competition was held in Puerto Princesa City. The top awards went to Louisa Brown of Australia for Miss Congeniality and Best National Costume to Rita Nurmaliza of Indonesia. Newport Performing Arts Theater
The Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT), also known as simply Newport Theater, is a performing arts center on the grounds of Newport World Resorts in Pasay, Metro Manila, the Philippines. It is a modern multi-purpose theater named after its location in the Newport Mall and entertainment complex connected to the integrated resort in the Newport City township. The 1,500-seat facility opened in 2010 and holds the widest stage in the Philippines. It is one of the three major performing arts venues in Metro Manila that plays host to both touring and locally-produced musicals, live stage shows, concerts, and regular televised events such as awards ceremonies and pageants. Miss Asia Pacific International 2016, was an international beauty contest held in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines on November 23, 2016. Forty women from all over the world vied for the crown and for the title of Miss Asia Pacific International. Tessa Helena le Conge of the Netherlands won the pageant and was crowned Miss Asia Pacific International 2016. Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 was the third edition of Miss Asia Pacific International after its 2016 re-launch. Newport World Resorts (formerly Resorts World Manila) is an integrated resort, located in Newport City, opposite Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3, in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines.
