Miss America (America Chavez)
America Chavez is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Joe Casey and Nick Dragotta, Chavez was the second character to use the moniker Miss America, after Madeline Joyce. Chavez first appeared in ''Vengeance'' #1 (September 2011) before joining the Young Avengers and later starring in her own ongoing series, ''America'', in March 2017 by writer Gabby Rivera. America Chavez has been described as one of Marvel's most notable and powerful female heroes, being labelled as the publisher's first Latin-American LGBTQ+ character to star in a comic book series as the eponymous character. Jamie McKelvie is a cartoonist and illustrator, known for his both work on books such as ''Phonogram'', ''Young Avengers'' and ''The Wicked + The Divine'', and his approach to comic character design. Career Since 2003, McKelvie has collaborated with Kieron Gillen on a number of works. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is an American media franchise and shared universe centered on a series of superhero films produced by Marvel Studios. The films are based on characters that appear in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The franchise also includes television series, short films, digital series, and literature. Kelly Thompson is an American writer of novels and comic books. She is best known for the ''Jem and the Holograms'' comic with co-creator and artist Sophie Campbell, a modern re-imagining of the 1980s cartoon of the same name, the Eisner-nominated Marvel comic ''Hawkeye'' with artist Leonardo Romero, which stars Kate Bishop, and '' Captain Marvel'' featuring Carol Danvers with artist Carmen Carnero and colorist Tamra Bonvillain. All-New, All-Different Marvel (ANADM) is a 2015–2019 branding for Marvel Comics' entire main line of comics. Taking place after the crossover storyline "Secret Wars", it details the new Marvel Universe, with nearly 60–65 titles relaunched with first issues, with a total of 76 issues. Marvel NOW! 2.0 and Marvel Legacy are concurrent with it.
