Mirza Masood
Mirza Nasir-ud-din Masood (23 April 1906 – 21 September 1991) was an Indian field hockey player who competed in the 1936 Summer Olympics. In 1936 he was a member of the Indian field hockey team, which won the gold medal. He played one match as halfback. In 1948, Masood became private secretary to India's first Minister of Education, Abul Kalam Azad. He was temporarily released from that role in 1952 when he was appointed the UNESCO Mission Chief to Indonesia, where he remained until 1957. Following Azad's death in 1958, Jawaharlal Nehru successively appointed Masood as Advisor on Physical Education and Recreation, Consul General responsible for Muscat and Oman, the Emirates, and Bahrain, and Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Upon his return to India in 1964, he was made secretary of the Central Waqf Board by Lal Bahadur Shastri. ''Hindustan Times'' is an Indian English-language daily newspaper based in Delhi. It is the flagship publication of HT Media, an entity controlled by the KK Birla family, and is owned by Shobhana Bhartia. It was founded by Sunder Singh Lyallpuri, founder-father of the Akali movement and the Shiromani Akali Dal, in Delhi and played integral roles in the Indian independence movement as a nationalist daily. Nizamuddin Dargah
Nizamuddin Dargah is the dargah (mausoleum) of the Sufi saint Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya (1238–1325 CE). Situated in the Nizamuddin West area of Delhi, the dargah is visited by thousands of pilgrims every week. The site is also known for its evening ''qawwali'' devotional music sessions. The descendants of Nizamuddin Auliya look after the whole management of dargah Sharif. Architecture The tombs of Amir Khusrau, Nizamuddin's disciple, and Jehan Ara Begum, Shah Jahan's daughter, are located at the entrance to the complex. Ziauddin Barani and Muhammad Shah are also buried here. Overall, the dargah complex has more than 70 graves. The complex was renovated and restored by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture around 2010. Dargah Nizamuddin's tomb has a white dome. The main structure was built by Muhammad bin Tughluq in 1325, following Nizamuddin's death.
