Mirko Guerrini
Mirko Guerrini (born 28 April 1973) is an Italian-Australian jazz saxophonist, composer and arranger. Biography Mirko Guerrini was born in Florence, Italy. Has studied piano, saxophone, classical composition and jazz music at the Conservatorio “Cherubini” in Florence, as well as Jazz saxophone with Dave Liebman in New York. Eclectic and multi-instrumentalist, composer and orchestra conductor, he has 20 Cds to his credit as a solo sax player and leader of jazz ensembles, more than 50 CDs as a sideman. He is now leading the band ‘Mirko Guerrini Horizontal Quartet’ (Andrea Keller, Tamara Murphy and Niko Schauble) and he is also the co-leader of the acclaimed band ‘Torrio!’ with Paul Grabowsky and Niko Schauble. Guerrini has released 6 books: 2 with a selection of his compositions by the well known label Carisch Ed, and 3 educational books dedicated to the Jazz Tenor Saxophone: Stan Getz, Joe Henderson and Oliver Nelson. Paul McCandless
Paul Brownlee McCandless Jr. (born March 24, 1947) is an American multi-instrumentalist and founding member of the American jazz group Oregon. He is one of the few jazz oboists. He also plays bass clarinet, English horn, flute and soprano saxophone. Biography Paul Brownlee McCandless Jr. was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, United States, into a musical family. His father (who was also an oboe and English horn player) taught him clarinet, his mother piano, and he attended the Manhattan School of Music. In 1971 he auditioned with the New York Philharmonic playing English horn and was a finalist. The Music Victoria Awards (previously known as The Age EG Awards and The Age Music Victoria Awards) are an annual awards night celebrating music from the Australian state of Victoria. They commenced in 2006 and are awarded in Melbourne Music Week between October and December. The awards were initially an exclusively online public voted awards, changing in 2013. Anthony Paule (born December 21, 1956) is an American electric blues guitarist, singer and songwriter. He has issued records in his own name, but is best known for his work with others including Boz Scaggs, Charlie Musselwhite, Jackie Payne, Mark Hummel, Home Cookin', Frank Bey and Wee Willie Walker. Biography Anthony Paule was born in Durban, South Africa. His family relocated to Los Angeles, California, United States, when Paul was 10 months old and, by the age of 15, he resettled in the Bay Area where, apart from a short while spent living in Wisconsin, it has remained his home. Paule was self-taught in playing the clarinet in his early teens, but was gifted a guitar from one of his elder brothers when aged 13, and it remained the musical instrument of choice. Giorgio Gaber (), byname of Giorgio Gaberscik (25 January 1939 – 1 January 2003), was an Italian singer, composer, actor, and playwright. He was also an accomplished guitar player and author of one of the first rock songs in Italian ("Ciao ti dirò", 1958).
