Miribel station ( French: ''Gare de Miribel'') is a French railway station located in the commune of Miribel, Ain department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It is located at kilometric point (KP) 16.616 on the Lyon-Geneva railway, between Crépieux-la-Pape and Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost stations. Les Échets station, is also located in the Les Échets neighbourhood of the commune. As of 2021, the station is owned and operated by the SNCF and served by TER Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes trains. History The section of the Lyon–Geneva railway between Lyon and Ambérieu was opened on 23 June 1856. In 2019, the SNCF estimated that 305,842 passengers traveled through the station. Côtière or Côtière de l'Ain is a natural region located southwest of the department of Ain, France. A ticket machine, also known as a ticket vending machine (TVM), is a vending machine that produces paper or electronic tickets, or recharges a stored-value card or smart card or the user's mobile wallet, typically on a smartphone. Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost Station
Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost (, literally ''Saint-Maurice of Beynost'') is a commune in the Ain department, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, located at about from Lyon. The commune is included in the canton of Miribel and in the intercommunality of communauté de communes de Miribel et du Plateau. A small farming village at the beginning of the 20th century, the commune of Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost became an industrial town in the 1920s, following the construction of the second textile factory of the "Lyon Society of Artificial Silk". The need for workers in this factory led to a quadrupling of the population in just five years, between 1926 and 1931. Today, the factory, which belongs to the Japanese group Toray Industries, is still the main employer in the city with nearly five hundred employees.
