Mirabel is a provincial electoral district in Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It includes the municipalities of Mirabel, Oka, Pointe-Calumet, Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac and Saint-Placide and the Mohawk community of Kanesatake. It was created for the 2003 election from parts of Argenteuil and Deux-Montagnes. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, its territory was unchanged. Mirabel, Quebec
Mirabel is a suburb of Montreal, located on the North Shore in southern Quebec. Mirabel is also the name of a territory equivalent to a regional county municipality (TE) and census division (CD) of Quebec, coextensive with the city of Mirabel. Its geographical code is 74. Prior to 2002, Mirabel was not only a city but also comprised the Mirabel Regional County Municipality. The city is home to Montréal–Mirabel International Airport. History Mirabel was formed through the expropriation of private lands and the merger of 8 municipalities in 1971. Argenteuil is a provincial electoral district in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes the municipalities of Saint-Colomban, Lachute and Brownsburg-Chatham. It was created for the 1867 election, and an electoral district of that name existed even earlier: see Argenteuil (Province of Canada). Vaudreuil is a provincial electoral district in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. The biggest municipality in the district is Vaudreuil-Dorion. It was created for the 1867 election (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada and the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada). Its final election was in 1936. It disappeared in the 1939 election and its successor electoral district was Vaudreuil-Soulanges. Fabre (electoral District)
Fabre is a provincial electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. The district is located in Laval and includes the westernmost portion of Île Jésus (or Île de Laval) west of Autoroute 15 in the northern half of the district and west of Autoroute 13 in the southern half. It was created for the 1966 election from a part of Laval electoral district electoral district. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, it lost part of its territory to the newly created Sainte-Rose electoral district, but gained some territory from Chomedey. In the change from the 2011 to 2017 electoral map, it will gain some more territory from Chomedey, in the area around Parc Le Boutillier. Groulx is a provincial electoral district in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada, that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes the city of Boisbriand as well as a few other small cities. It was created for the 1981 election from a part of the Terrebonne electoral district. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, it gained a small part of the city of Blainville from the Blainville electoral district; it did not previously include any part of that city. In the change from the 2011 to 2017 electoral map, the riding will lose the Saint-Rédempteur neighbourhood of Blainville to the riding of Blainville. Hubert Meilleur is a politician from Quebec, Canada. Meilleur was the mayor of Mirabel. Mayor He was first elected as mayor in 1987 and was re-elected in 1991, 1995, 1999, 2003 and 2007. Under his tenure, Mirabel's population increased, going from 15,000 to 34,000. Denise Beaudoin (born February 24, 1949) is a Canadian businessperson, lawyer, and former politician. She was first elected to represent the riding of Mirabel in the National Assembly of Quebec in the 2003 provincial election, but was defeated in the 2007 provincial election by François Desrochers of the Action démocratique du Québec. She was subsequently re-elected in the 2008 provincial election, 2012 provincial election and defeated again in the 2014 provincial election by Sylvie D'Amours of the Coalition Avenir Québec. She is a member of the Parti Québécois. Born in Lachute, Quebec, Beaudoin is a graduate of the University of Ottawa and the Université de Montréal obtaining a bachelor's degree as well as a law licence from Ottawa.
