The Dahomey Mino (Fon language, Fon: Agojie, Agoji, Mino, or Minon) were a Fon people, Fon all-female military regiment of the Kingdom of Dahomey (in today's Benin, West Africa) that existed from the 17th century until the late 19th century. They are one of the few documented female armies in modern history. They were named Amazons by Western Europeans who encountered them, due to the story of the female warriors of Amazons in Greek mythology. Traditional are an article of outerwear covering the entire body, although shorter ones resembling grass skirts were also historically used to cover the lower body alone. Similar straw capes were also used in China, Vietnam and Korea. is a passenger railway station located in the city of Mitoyo, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by JR Shikoku and has the station number "Y15". Lines Mino Station is served by the JR Shikoku Yosan Line and is located 44.5 km from the beginning of the line at Takamatsu. It is also referred to as the Tōnō dialect (東濃弁 ''Tōnō-ben'') by residents of the Tōnō region of the prefecture, which is the eastern part of the former province. Mino, Kagawa
was a town located in Mitoyo District, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. As of 2005, the town had an estimated population of 9,952. The total area was 19.34 km². On January 1, 2006, Mino, along with the towns of Nio, Saita, Takase, Takuma, Toyonaka and Yamamoto (all from Mitoyo District), was merger to create the city of Mitoyo and no longer exists as an independent municipality. Mino had a sister city relationship with Evansville (Indiana), Unadilla (New York State), Sanyuan County in the city of Xianyang (Shaanxi China) and Florenville (Belgium).
