Minnesota International Piano-e-Competition
The Minnesota International Piano-e-Competition was founded in 2002 by Alexander Braginsky in collaboration with the Yamaha Corporation. It took place every two years in Minneapolis–Saint Paul before the 2008 edition was delayed to 2009 due to the arrangement of a junior edition of the competition. The ''-e-'' refers to the competition's focus on Internet and Disklavier technologies. The e-competition is one of the biggest, most significant competitions available for young artists. Many of its past competitors have gone on to achieve significant success on the global competition/concert stage. Alexander Braginsky
Alexander Iosifovich Braginsky (russian: Александр Иосифович Брагинский, ''Aleksandr Iosifovič Braginskij''; May 29, 1944) is a Russian-born pianist and pedagogue, currently living in the United States. Life and career He studied at the Moscow Conservatory with Alexander Borisovich Goldenweiser, and, after Goldenweiser's death in 1961, with Theodore Gutman. In the early 1970s, he left Russia with his wife, Tatiana Remenikova, never to visit again until 2004. After first spending a couple of years in the United Kingdom he then moved to the USA. He is on the piano faculty at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis and at the Hamline University, St. Paul, where he works with a select group of piano students from around the world. Hélène Tysman
Hélène Tysman (born 30 December 1982, Paris, France) is a prizewinning French classical pianist. She studied at the Paris Conservatoire under Pierre-Laurent Aimard and later with Oleg Maisenberg in Vienna. She obtained her master's degree at Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt, Weimar under the guidance of Grigory Gruzman. Nathan Lee (born September 26, 2001) is a Korean-American pianist. Described by ''The New York Times'' as a "prodigiously talented" pianist with "musical insight and sensitivity", Lee was a winner of the 2016 Young Concert Artists International Auditions. Hanna Shybayeva (born 16 March 1979 in Minsk) is a Dutch pianist. Early life and studies Born into a family of musicians, Hanna Shybayeva began her piano education at the age of six.
