Ministry Of Health (Kuwait)
The Ministry of Health is the ministry responsible for the public health of citizens and residents of the State of Kuwait and for drawing up the health policy plan in Kuwait. It was established in 1936, and is now headed by Dr. Ahmed Abdulwahab Al-Awadhi. Ministry History The health care system in the State of Kuwait began as a modern regulatory law in 1944, when Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued a law that included fourteen articles that included the organizational matters of the Health Department of the Health Council in addition to the powers of the administrative director of the department and the powers of the technical director (chief physician) of health during that period. In 1939, the first governmental health clinic was opened in Kuwait and later became for men and another clinic for women was built, while in 1944 it was the first private clinic for women. Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah (1885 – 29 January 1950) ( ar, الشيخ أحمد الجابر الصباح) was the tenth ruler of the Sheikhdom of Kuwait from 29 March 1921 until his death on 29 January 1950. Biography Ahmad was the son of Jaber II Al-Sabah, who was the eighth ruler of the Sheikhdom of Kuwait between 1915 and 1917. Mubarak Al-Sabah
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah (1837 – 28 November 1915) ( ar, الشيخ مبارك بن صباح الصباح) "the Great" ( ar, مبارك الكبير) was the seventh ruler of the Sheikhdom of Kuwait from 18 May 1896 until his death on 18 November 1915. Mubarak ascended the throne upon killing his half-brother, Muhammad bin Sabah Al-Sabah, Muhammad Al-Sabah. Basra ( ar, ٱلْبَصْرَة, al-Baṣrah) is an Iraqi city located on the Shatt al-Arab. It had an estimated population of 1.4 million in 2018. COVID-19 Pandemic In Kuwait
The COVID-19 pandemic in Kuwait is part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 () caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (). The first confirmed case in Kuwait was announced on 24 February 2020. Kuwait ended the full curfew on 30 May 2020 and started taking steps towards a gradual return to normal life by placing a partial curfew from 6 pm until 6 am.
