Ministry Of Health (Denmark)
The Danish Ministry of Health is a Danish governmental ministry responsible for healthcare policy in Denmark. First created as an independent ministry in 1926, it has at various times been combined with the Ministry of the Interior as the Ministry of Interior and Health, most recently in 2010–2011, and has had various names. The current Minister for Health and Senior Citizens is Magnus Heunicke, and the Permanent Secretary since 11 January 2021 is Svend Særkjær. Responsibilities The ministry oversees all aspects of healthcare in Denmark, including hospitals, medical treatments, dispensaries, patient rights, healthcare data collection and medical and research ethics. Magnus Heunicke
Magnus Johannes Heunicke (born 28 January 1975 in Næstved) is a Danish journalist and politician who serves as a member of the Folketing for the Social Democrats political party. He was the Minister of Health from 2019 to 2022, and minister of elderly affairs from 2019 to 2021. Background He was born in Næstved to former mayor Henning Jensen and school teacher Inger Heunicke, and is married to Nina Groes. Heunicke has an education as a journalist, graduating from Aarhus journalist high school in 2002 and later working for DR in the period 2001-2005. Heunicke left the field of journalism in 2005 to pursue a parliamentary career. Before starting his education as a journalist, Heunicke graduated from Næstved gymnasium in Næstved, in 1995. Elsebeth Kock-Petersen
Elsebeth Kock-Petersen (born 15 January 1949) is a Danish Venstre politician. She was a member of the Folketing who represented the constituency from 1975 to 1977 and then the between 1984 and 1990. Kock-Petersen was appointed the youngest ever Minister for Ecclesiastical Affairs in 1982 before being made Minister of Social Affairs between 1984 and 1986 and then the Minister of Health from 1988 to 1989. She was appointed Commander of the Order of the Dannebrog in 1984. Nick Hækkerup (born 3 April 1968 in Fredensborg) is a Danish writer and politician of Social Democrats who has been serving as the Minister of Justice in the Frederiksen Cabinet from 2019 to 2022. Astrid Krag (born 17 November 1982 in Vejle) is a Danish politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Social Democrats political party. She served as the Minister of Social Affairs and the Interior in the Cabinet of Mette Frederiksen. Jakob Axel Nielsen (born 12 April 1967 in Hadsund) is a Danish lawyer and politician representing the Conservative People's Party. Carsten Johan Koch (born April 27, 1945) is a Danish economist and former Social Democratic politician and minister. He was born in Kongens Lyngby, Denmark, to tailor Robert Koch and Elly J. Koch.
