The Mining League (last sponsored by One and All Sports) was a football league competition based in Cornwall, England, UK, with three divisions. The First Division sat at level 13 of the English football league system, and the winning team could be promoted to the Cornwall Combination. The league merged with the Falmouth & Helston League at the end of the 2010–11 season. Both leagues at the time of the merger had three divisions and had 45 teams. Cornwall Combination
The Cornwall Combination League is a football competition based in the western half of Cornwall, England, formed in 1959. The current league sponsors are drinks retailers LWC. The league has a single division of 20 clubs, being larger than any league below step 6 in the English football league system. The Champion club may apply for promotion to the St Piran Football League, West Division. The bottom clubs may be relegated to one of the level 13 leagues of the English football league system – normally the Trelawny League. No Cornwall Combination clubs are currently eligible for national competitions; the only time a club from the league has played in the FA Cup was when Falmouth Town played a single match in 1983–84, the only season Falmouth's first team played in the Combination. The English football league system, also known as the football pyramid, is a series of interconnected leagues for men's association football clubs in England, with five teams from Wales, one from Guernsey, one from Jersey and one from the Isle of Man also competing. Falmouth & Helston League
The Falmouth and Helston League was an English association football league comprising clubs from South Cornwall. The league was formed following the amalgamation of the Falmouth and District Football League and the Helston and District Football League in 1960-61. In those days it consisted of just two divisions until expanded to three divisions in 1998-99. The top division plays at the 13th overall tier of the English football league system. One team from Division One could be promoted into the Cornwall Combination providing they finished in the top three and satisfied ground grading requirements. The league merged with the Mining Division Football League for the 2011-12 season. Both leagues at the time of the merger had three divisions composed of a similar number of teams.
