Mingjiu Jiang
Mingjiu Jiang (, born July 15, 1957, in Shandong, China) is a Chinese professional Go player and the elder brother of Jiang Zhujiu. Biography Jiang became 6 dan in 1982 and 7 dan in 1987. He has played for the Zhongguo Qiyuan, but currently resides in and represents the United States of America. He has represented North America in several international competitions. In 2010, he played in the Chunlan Cup, losing to Gu Lingyi in the first round. Since 2011, he has mainly taught Go so and has published two books on the game. He also collaborates with Guo Juan on the Internet Go School. Leland Yee
Leland Yin Yee (, born November 20, 1948) is an American former politician who served as a member of the California State Senate for District 8, which covered parts of San Francisco and the Peninsula. In 2015, Yee pleaded guilty to felony racketeering charges for money laundering, political corruption, arms trafficking, and bribery. Prior to becoming state senator, Yee was a California State Assemblyman, Supervisor of San Francisco's Sunset District, and President of the San Francisco School Board. In 2004 Yee became the first Asian American to be appointed Speaker pro Tempore, making him the second highest ranking Democrat of the California State Assembly. Go is an abstract strategy board game for two players in which the aim is to surround more territory than the opponent. The game was invented in China more than 2,500 years ago and is believed to be the oldest board game continuously played to the present day. A 2016 survey by the International Go Federation's 75 member nations found that there are over 46 million people worldwide who know how to play Go and over 20 million current players, the majority of whom live in East Asia. The playing pieces are called stones. One player uses the white stones and the other, black. The players take turns placing the stones on the vacant intersections (''points'') of a board. Ing Chang-ki (; 23 October 1916 – 27 August 1997) was a Chinese industrialist, Go player, and Go promoter. He was the founder of the Ing Cup. He is also known for promoting the Ing rules of Go. He also promoted one of the first digital game clocks to support byoyomi, per-move time control. Biography Ing Chang-ki was born in Cixi County (currently Cicheng, Jiangbei District, Ningbo), Zhejiang Province in 1917. As a young man, Ing worked as a clerk in a bank in Shanghai, where he later became a famous local banker. In 1949, he went to Taipei and eventually became an industrial mogul in Taiwan.
