Mindaugas Griškonis (born 17 January 1986) is a Lithuanian rower. Competing in the single sculls he won six medals at the European and world championships between 2007 and 2015, including three European gold medals. Rowing is the act of propelling a human-powered watercraft using the sweeping motions of oars to displace water and generate reactional propulsion. Rowing is functionally similar to paddling, but rowing requires oars to be mechanically attached to the boat, and the rower drives the oar like a lever, exerting force in the ''same'' direction as the boat's travel; while paddles are completely hand-held and have no attachment to the boat, and are driven like a cantilever, exerting force ''opposite'' to the intended direction of the boat. Mykolas Alekna
Mykolas Alekna (born 28 September 2002) is a Lithuanian athlete who specializes in the discus throw. He is the current world record holder of the event with 74.35 metres (243 ft 11 in) which will be subject to ratification. At the age of 19, he won the silver medal at the 2022 World Championships, becoming the youngest world discus medallist in history. Alekna was then the youngest ever winner in his discipline at the 2022 European Championships, setting the competition record in the process. Danas Rapšys (; born 21 May 1995) is a Lithuanian swimmer. He is a two-time Olympian, a multiple-time Lithuanian record holder in the men's backstroke, freestyle and butterfly, and a double swimming champion at the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei, Taiwan.
