Mills 50 (Orlando)
Orlando's Mills 50 is a neighborhood directly north of the adjacent downtown core. The district's name comes from the intersection of Mills Avenue and State Road 50 (Colonial Drive), the district is also known as Little Saigon or Little Vietnam. Mills 50 is known for its Vietnamese influence however other Asian cultures are also represented as well. The district has a wide range of authentic Asian-owned eateries and other businesses. Mills 50 is a part of the Main Streets America program, a non-profit that promotes the district. Many locals argue that the Main Streets program hasn't done enough to promote or protect the area's ethnic identity. Florida State Road 50
State Road 50 (SR 50) runs across the center of the U.S. state of Florida through Orlando, with its termini at SR 55 (US 19) at Weeki Wachee and SR 5 (U.S. Route 1) in Titusville. SR 50 is signed east–west. Within various counties throughout the state, the highway is signed with various names such as Cortez Boulevard in Hernando County and Colonial Drive in Orange County. The former section includes the concurrency with US 98 between Brooksville and near Ridge Manor. US 98-SR 50 is the only interchange with Interstate 75 in Hernando County. Several portions of SR 50 east of SR 436 follow the original Cheney Highway, which was named for John Moses Cheney and was the first road to the coast from Orlando. Orlando Fashion Square is a split one-story, two-story indoor shopping mall located in Orlando, Florida. Opened in 1973, it features 79 stores in over one million square feet of shop space. The mall's anchor stores are Macy's, Floor & Decor, and Dillard's Clearance Center. Predating the mall's opening was a Sears department store opened in 1963; this store closed in 2016 and has been razed for redevelopment. JCPenney, another anchor store closed in 2020. Other major tenants include Premiere Cinemas, a food court, and Planet Fitness. The mall is managed by UP Development, Inc. AdventHealth Station
AdventHealth station is a train station in Orlando, Florida, serving SunRail, the commuter rail service of Central Florida. The northernmost SunRail stop in the City of Orlando, the station opened May 1, 2014, and was built along tracks originally used by the South Florida Railroad. The station is designed to serve AdventHealth Orlando. It has two platforms, two tracks, and the only parking is at the existing parking garages on the hospital grounds. The station is officially located at 500 Rollins Street, however the platforms extend as far south as East Princeton Street. Of the four SunRail stations in Orlando, AdventHealth is the only station built exclusively from scratch.
