Millarworld Limited is a comic book company that was founded in 2004 by Scottish comic book writer Mark Millar as a creator-owned line. The imprint is best known for publishing the books '' Wanted'', ''Chosen'', ''The Unfunnies'', '' Kick-Ass'' and ''War Heroes''. Licensing and adaptation ''Wanted'', published by Top Cow Productions, was loosely adapted into a feature film of the same name by Universal Pictures, released on 27 June 2008. Mark Millar
Mark Millar (; born 24 December 1969) is a Scottish comic book writer and television producer who first came to prominence with a run on the superhero series '' The Authority'', published by DC Comics' Wildstorm imprint. Millar has written extensively for Marvel Comics, including runs on ''The Ultimates'', which has been called "the comic book of the decade" by ''Time'' magazine and described as a major inspiration for the 2012 film '' The Avengers'' by its screenwriter Zak Penn, ''X-Men'', '' Fantastic Four'' and ''Avengers'' for Marvel's Ultimate imprint, as well as ''Marvel Knights Spider-Man'' and ''Wolverine''. ''Jupiter's Legacy'' is an American superhero television series that premiered on Netflix on May 7, 2021, based on the comic book series of the same name by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely, and published by Image Comics. Produced by Millarworld, Di Bonaventura Pictures, and DeKnight Productions, the show was developed for television by Steven S. ''The Unfunnies'' is a four-issue adult comedy horror comic book mini-series created by Mark Millar and Anthony Williams and published by Avatar Press. The comic uses cartoon characters drawn in a simple style similar to Hanna-Barbera and photographs to tell the story of a comic world gone wrong. The plot intertwines several storylines that eventually meet in the end. ''The Magic Order'' is a comic book series written by Mark Millar and illustrated by Olivier Coipel (volume one), Stuart Immonen (volume two) and Gigi Cavenago (volume 3). ''Wanted'' is a comic book limited series created by writer Mark Millar and artist J. G. Jones. It was published by Top Cow in 2003 and 2004 as part of Millarworld. John Salvatore Romita (; born August 17, 1956), known professionally as John Romita Jr., is an American comics artist best known for his extensive work for Marvel Comics from the 1970s to the 2010s.
