Milka Irene
Milka Irene Soobya is a Ugandan actress and politician most known for her breakout role as Monica on NTV Uganda's drama series ''Deception'' and as Fifi Aripa on ''Power of Legacy''. She contested for the Woman Member of Parliament for Jinja after Jinja received city status. Career Acting Soobya's debut professional role was in a minor role on a Kenyan television series Makutano Junction which she was introduced to by Philip Luswata, one of the show's writers. She however gained popularity when she was cast in the lead role as Monica on NTV Uganda's drama series ''Deception'' from 2013 to 2016. She later worked on a Akpor Otebele directed film ''The Rungu Girls'', ''Honeymoon is Exaggerated'', ''Christmas in Kampala'' and ''Taxi 24''. Buwenge
Buwenge is a town in the Eastern Region of Uganda. It was proposed as the headquarters of Jinja District in 2009 when local district leaders were lobbying government to grant Jinja city status. Deception (NTV Series)
'' Deception '' is a Ugandan drama television series developed by Edris Matu Segawa and directed by George Kihumbah. The series ran on NTV Uganda for eight seasons from 2013 to 2016. The series won a number of awards including 2014 RTV Awards for Best TV Drama of the year, 2015 RTV Awards as Best TV Drama of the year and 2016 Uganda Entertainment Award for Best TV Series. During its first season the show had a running time of 30 minutes and then was extended to 45 minutes for the rest of its season. Airing every Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm. Deception became one of the most popular TV drama series in Uganda and the second attempt at TV shows by NTV Uganda after 2009's KAKIBEKI (what come may!). ''Makutano Junction'' is a Kenyan soap opera that premiered in 2006. It captures different themes that affect the normal African society. The main contemporary issues that are mostly stressed in the drama are, corruption, education, early marriages, Female Genital Mutilation and pregnancies, HIV/AIDS, human rights, social justice, values, and perceptions, conflict resolution. The Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF), previously known as the National Resistance Army, is the armed forces of Uganda.
