Milk Makeup is a New York City-based cosmetics and skin care company created by the founders of Milk Studios. Despite its name, it is 100% vegan. History Milk Makeup was launched in February 2016 and was founded in New York City by Milk Studios co-founder Mazdack Rassi, fashion editor, and entertainment reporter Zanna Roberts Rassi, creative director Georgie Greville and product developer Dianna Ruth. Media executive Scott Sassa serves as chairman. The company's products were initially distributed by Sephora. In 2017, the company received an investment from Main Post Partners. Mazdack Rassi
Mazdack Rassi is an Iranian-American real estate and creative entrepreneur. He is best known as the co-founder of Milk Studios with partners Erez Shternlicht and Moishe Mana, as a co-founder of Milk Makeup and Camp David in Brooklyn, New York. Early life Rassi was born in Tehran, Iran. His family left the country because of the Iranian Revolution and moved to rural Champaign, Illinois at the age of nine. Rassi's father, a Cornell graduate and former Iranian diplomat, went from being an educator in Iran to a professor at the University of Illinois. His mother found work in the costume department. Scott M. Sassa is an American entertainment executive who has held a number of high-level executive positions in large entertainment companies. Sassa is currently chairman of MILK Makeup. Biography Early career Early in his career, Sassa was vice president of New Business Development at Ohlmeyer Communications Co., which was headed by Don Ohlmeyer.
