Military Town, Novosibirsk
The Military Town (''russian: Военный городок'') is a building complex in Oktyabrsky District of Novosibirsk, Russia. It was built in 1910–1913. New buildings also appeared during the Soviet period. It is located between Topolyovaya, Voennaya, Voinskaya and Boris Bogatkov streets and occupies an area of 85 hectares. History Construction of the residential building for twelve junior single officers, 1913. Construction In 1909, the City Public Administration of Novonikolayevsk (current Novosibirsk) transferred a place of 60 dessiatins to the military department in exchange for the territory of The Cabinet of His Imperial Majesty (in a convenient place for the city). The land for the future military complex was located across the Kamenka River. In the summer of 1910, the construction of military corps began, 5 million rubles were allocated for their construction. Wagon Train
''Wagon Train'' is an American Western series that aired 8 seasons: first on the NBC television network (1957–1962), and then on ABC (1962–1965). ''Wagon Train'' debuted on September 18, 1957, and became number one in the Nielsen ratings. It is the fictional adventure story of a large westbound wagon train through the American Old West, from Missouri to California. Its format attracted different famous guest stars per episode, as travelers or as residents of the settlements they encountered. Grigory Mikhaylovich Semyonov
Grigory Mikhaylovich Semyonov, or Semenov (russian: Григо́рий Миха́йлович Семёнов; September 25, 1890 – August 30, 1946), was a Japanese-supported leader of the White movement in Transbaikal and beyond from December 1917 to November 1920, a lieutenant general, and the ''ataman'' of Baikal Cossacks (1919). Semyonov was also a prominent figure in the White Terror. Early life and career Semyonov, born in the Transbaikal region of eastern Siberia. His father, Mikhail Petrovich Semyonov, was Russian; his mother was a Buryat. Semyonov spoke Mongolian and Buryat fluently. He joined the Imperial Russian Army in 1908 and graduated from Orenburg Military School in 1911. The Cabinet of His Imperial Majesty, colloquially the Imperial Cabinet was an institution that was in charge of the personal property of the Russian Imperial family and dealt with some other issues in 1704—1917. History The Cabinet was established in 1704 by Peter the Great, was the Tsar's Own Office, was in charge of his treasury and property, kept a correspondence. At its head was the cabinet secretary Alexey Makarov. It was closed after the death of Peter, on June 7, 1727. Anna Ioannovna in 1731 created the highest state body — the Cabinet of Her Majesty, which consisted of three ministers.
