Military Engineering Centre Of Excellence
The NATO Military Engineering Centre of Excellence (MILENG COE) is an International Military Organization (IMO) as designated by the Paris Protocol of 28 August 1952. The organization is a part of the NATO Centre of Excellence. Sponsored by fourteen European Union Member States, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Canada, and the United States, the Centre belongs to a wider framework that supports NATO’s transformation process. The organization's objective is to assist NATO member countries, nonmember countries, and international organizations in enhancing military engineering capabilities. Flag Of NATO
The flag of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) consists of a dark blue field charged with a white compass rose emblem, with four white lines radiating from the four cardinal directions. Adopted three years after the creation of NATO, it has been the flag of NATO since October 14, 1953. The blue color symbolizes the Atlantic Ocean, while the circle stands for unity. Standardization Agreement
In NATO, a standardization agreement (STANAG, redundantly: STANAG agreement) defines processes, procedures, terms, and conditions for common military or technical procedures or equipment between the member countries of the alliance. Each NATO state ratifies a STANAG and implements it within its own military. The purpose is to provide common operational and administrative procedures and logistics, so one member nation's military may use the stores and support of another member's military.
