Mile Lojpur
Milan "Mile" Lojpur (Serbian Cyrillic: Милан-Миле Лојпур) (4 March 1930 – 29 July 2005) was a Serbian and Yugoslav rock musician, notable as one of the first rock and roll musicians in Yugoslavia and one of the pioneers of the Yugoslav rock scene. Biography Lojpur was born in Veliki Bečkerek in 1930, but his entire career was connected to Belgrade. In 1958, he started performing with Sekstet M (trans. ''Sextet M'') led by trumpeter Mile Nedeljković, which were one of the first performers of the so-called "električna muzika" ("electrical music", a former Yugoslav slang for rock and roll in the late 1950s and early 1960s). In 1959, they changed their name to Septet M (''Septet M''), and performed under that name until 1965. Septet M rose to fame on the dances organized at Red Star basketball courts at Kalemegdan and their summer performances in Rovinj. Veliki Bečkerek
Zrenjanin ( sr-Cyrl, Зрењанин, ; hu, Nagybecskerek; ro, Becicherecu Mare; sk, Zreňanin; german: Großbetschkerek) is a city and the administrative center of the Central Banat District in the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. The city urban area has a population of 76,511 inhabitants, while the city administrative area has 123,362 inhabitants (2011 census data). The old name for Zrenjanin is Veliki Bečkerek or ''Nagybecskerek'' as it was known under Austria-Hungary up until 1918. Zrenjanin is the largest city in the Serbian part of the Banat geographical region, and the third largest city in Vojvodina (after Novi Sad and Subotica). In popular music, a cover version, cover song, remake, revival, or simply cover, is a new performance or recording by a musician other than the original performer or composer of the song. Originally, it referred to a version of a song released around the same time as the original in order to compete with it. Now, it refers to any subsequent version performed after the original. Šumadija
Šumadija (, sr-Cyrl, Шумадија) is a geographical region in the central part of Serbia. The area used to be heavily covered with forests, hence the name (from ''šuma'' 'forest'). The city of Kragujevac is the administrative center of the Šumadija District in the Šumadija and Western Serbia statistical region. The region is very fertile, and it is known for its extensive fruit production (apples, grapes, plums, etc.). Name ''Šumadija'' received its name from the dense and impassable forests which covered the region, particularly in the 16th and 17th centuries. Prljavi Inspektor Blaža i Kljunovi ( sr-cyr, Прљави Инспектор Блажа и Кљунови, trans. ''Dirty Inspector Blaža and Honchos'') is a Serbian rock band from Belgrade. History 1990s The band was formed at the beginning of 1994 by Igor Blažević (also known as Prljavi Inspektor Blaža, ''Dirty Inspector Blaža'', vocals), "Gazda" Milutin Petrović (guitar), Aleksandar Karadžič (guitar), Dejan Resanović (bass guitar) and Vojin Šurašinović (drums). At the beginning of the 1980s, Blažević was the leader of the new wave band Fiskulturno Lane. He started using his pseudonym at the end of 1991 when he became a radio host at Radio Pingvin. Nikola Čuturilo ( sr-cyr, Никола Чутурило; born 9 July 1962), also known as Čutura ( Чутура, literally "canteen") is a Serbian rock musician. He is known as a guitarist for the band Riblja Čorba, as well as for his solo work. Biography Early career Čuturilo started his career as a teenager, in 1976, playing as a guitarist for the band Kredit, which also featured Igor Popović (who would later become frontman of Jakarta, vocals), Časlav Stanković (guitar), Srđan Đurić (bass guitar) and Milan Bubalo (drums). One-man Band
A one-man band is a musician who plays a number of instruments simultaneously using their hands, feet, limbs, and various mechanical or electronic contraptions. One-man bands also often sing while they perform. The simplest type of "one-man band" is a singer accompanying themselves on acoustic guitar and playing a harmonica mounted in a metal "harp rack" below the mouth.
