Milana Chernyavska
Milana Chernyavska (born 13 January 1968) is a Ukrainian-German classical pianist born and educated in Ukraine. She has played internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, with a focus on contemporary music which she also recorded. Life and career Born in Kyiv, Chernyavska began playing piano at age five. Two years later, she began studies at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory there in a class for gifted children. After studies with Valery Sagaidachny, she graduated in 1990. She studied further in masterclasses with Dmitri Bashkirov and , among others, and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich with Margarita Höhenrieder and Gerhard Oppitz. Chernyavska has appeared internationally, at festivals including the Lucerne Festival, Schwetzingen Festival, Rheingau Musik Festival and Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. The Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music ( uk, Національна музична академія України імені П.І. Чайковського), formerly Kyiv Conservatory, is a national music tertiary academy in Kyiv, Ukraine. Its courses include postgraduate education. History The Kyiv Conservatory was founded on 3 November 1913 at the Kyiv campus of the Music College of the Russian Musical Society. The organization of the conservatory was spearheaded by Sergei Rachmaninoff and Alexander Glazunov. The first directors were V. Pukhalsky (1913) and Reinhold Glière (1914–1920). In 1925, the junior classes were separated from the conservatory to form a Music College, while the senior classes were merged into the formerly private Music and Drama Institute of Mykola Lysenko (today the Kyiv National I. Daniel Müller-Schott
Daniel Müller-Schott (born 1976) is a German cellist. Born in Munich, he studied with Walter Nothas, Austrian cellist Heinrich Schiff and British cellist Steven Isserlis. Violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter personally coached him in her foundation, thanks to which he could later spend one year studying with Mstislav Rostropovich. Aged 15, he aroused enthusiasm by winning the first prize in the International Tchaikovsky Competition for young musicians in Moscow in 1992. He plays a cello by Matteo Goffriller, Venice, 1727. He has worked with world-renowned conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Charles Dutoit, Christoph Eschenbach, Kurt Masur, Sakari Oramo and André Previn. He recorded and released the Mozart Piano Trios in 2006 with Anne-Sophie Mutter and André Previn. With Angela Hewitt, he has recorded Beethoven's complete works for cello and piano.
