Milan Čvirk (14 September 1976 – 2 December 1997) was a Slovak professional football player. Club career He made his senior debut for 1. Košice

FC VSS Košice
FC VSS Košice was a Slovak football club based in Košice which played in the Slovak 2. Liga during the 2016–17 season. The club officially ceased operations on 27 July 2017. The club, founded in 1903, has won the Slovak League twice, the Slovak Cup five times and the Czechoslovak Cup once. The 1996–97 Slovak First Football League was the fourth season of first-tier football league in Slovakia, since its establishment in 1993. This season started on 3 August 1996 and ended on 11 June 1997. Slovan Bratislava are the defending champions. 1997–98 UEFA Champions League
The 1997–98 UEFA Champions League was the 43rd season of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA's premier club association football, football tournament, and the sixth since its re-branding from the "European Champion Clubs' Cup" or "European Cup". Albert Rusnák (footballer, Born 1974)
Albert Rusnák (born 14 January 1974) is a Slovak former football player and manager. His son is Albert Rusnák, who currently plays for American Major League Soccer club Seattle Sounders FC. As a footballer, Rusnak senior was a member of the Kosice side which won the Slovak league title in 1997 and retained it a year later. However, he suffered fractures to both legs in a car crash on 2 December 1997 which claimed the life of Kosice midfielder Milan Čvirk.
