Milan Olympic Village
The Milan Olympic Village is one of the Olympic Villages that will host the athletes participating in the 2026 Winter Olympics and the 2026 Winter Paralympics, which will take place in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo in February and March 2026, alongside the Olympic Village in Livigno and the one in Cortina d'Ampezzo. History The project of the complex, designed by the American architecture firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, was presented in July 2021, with delivery planned in July 2025. After the games, Coima SGR, a real-estate manager based in Milan, plans to invest over €200 million to acquire and convert the complex into student housing for college students in Milan. Olympic Village
An Olympic Village is an accommodation center built for the Olympic Games, usually within an Olympic Park or elsewhere in a host city. Olympic Villages are built to house all participating athletes, as well as officials and athletic trainers. After the Munich Massacre at the 1972 Olympics, the Villages have been made extremely secure. Only athletes, trainers and officials are allowed to room at the Village, though family members and former Olympic athletes are allowed inside with proper checks. Press and media are also barred.
