Milan Delčić
Milan Delčić "Delča" (, 19 November 1960 – 24 July 2011) was a Serbian and Yugoslav musician, playwright, dramaturge and television host, best known for his career as the frontman of the rock band U Škripcu and as a solo artist. Delčić gained prominence in the early 1980s as the frontman of the new wave band U Škripcu, the group achieving nationwide popularity with their third and second album, heavily influenced by New Romanticism. Delčić recorded five studio albums with U Škripcu. After the group disbanded in 1991, Delčić started his solo career, releasing three studio albums. A graduate from University of Belgrade Faculty of Dramatic Arts department of dramaturgy, Delčić authored several theatre plays and worked on production of several television series. In addition, he worked as a TV host and had minor roles in several films. He died in 2011, after long battle with leukemia. Pirot
Pirot ( sr-Cyrl, Пирот) is a city and the administrative center of the Pirot District in southeastern Serbia. According to 2022 census, the urban area of the city has a population of 34,942, while the population of the city administrative area has 49,601 inhabitants. A mini-LP or mini-album is a short record album or LP, usually retailing at a lower price than an album that would be considered full-length. It is distinct from an EP due to containing more tracks and a slightly longer running length. A mini-LP is not to be confused with the Japanese CDs issued in a " mini LP sleeve" or "paper jacket". ''Artistička radna akcija'' (meaning: ''"Artistic Work Action"'', also known under the acronym: ''ARA'') is a new wave and punk rock compilation album released in 1981 by Jugoton in SFR Yugoslavia. It presents a snapshot of the early 1980s Belgrade underground music scene through bands Radnička Kontrola, Bezobrazno Zeleno, Profili Profili, Defektno Efektni, Urbana Gerila, Petar i Zli Vuci, U Škripcu, Pasta ZZ, VIA Talas and TV Moroni, all of whom took part in the compilation as means of showcasing their material to a wider audience. New wave in Yugoslavia ( sr-Cyrl-Latn, Нови талас, Novi talas; ; ; ) was the new wave music scene of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. As its counterparts, the British and the American new wave, from which the main influences came, the Yugoslav scene was also closely related to punk rock, ska, reggae, 2 tone, power pop and mod revival. Some of its acts are also counted as belonging to the Yugoslav punk scene which already existed prior to new wave. Leukemia ( also spelled leukaemia; pronounced ) is a group of blood cancers that usually begin in the bone marrow and produce high numbers of abnormal blood cells. Dramaturgy is the study of dramatic composition and the representation of the main elements of drama on the stage. The role of a dramaturg in the field of modern dramaturgy is to help realize the multifaceted world of the play for a production using information from the script, playwright, and the context in which the play was written. It is a dramaturg's job to assist the director and sometimes the playwright, especially if the culture of the play is not fully experience by these people. The term first appears in the eponymous work '' Hamburg Dramaturgy'' (1767–69) by Gotthold Ephraim Lessing. New Romanticism
New Romantic was an underground subculture movement that originated in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s. The movement emerged from the nightclub scene in London and Birmingham at venues such as Billy's and The Blitz. The New Romantic movement was characterised by flamboyant, eccentric fashion inspired by fashion boutiques such as Kahn and Bell in Birmingham and PX in London. Early adherents of the movement were often referred to by the press by such names as Blitz Kids, New Dandies and Romantic Rebels.
