Milagros Sequera
Milagros Sequera Huss (; born 30 September 1980) is a Venezuelan-Australian former professional tennis player. Career She joined the WTA Tour in 1999 and was ranked world No. 48 in July 2007. Her coach was Larry Willens. She was introduced to the game at the age of seven. Her favorite surface was hardcourt. She won her first title in Fes, Morocco, in May 2007, defeating Aleksandra Wozniak in the final. Sequera won the gold medal at the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, winning the final against Sarah Taylor, and again in the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, winning the final against Mariana Duque Marino. Sequera retired from professional tennis 2009. Personal Milagros currently resides in San Diego with her husband, Stephen Huss, whom she married in the Dandenong Ranges, near Melbourne, Australia, on 29 December 2009. 2003 Pan American Games
The 2003 Pan American Games were held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from August 1 to 17, 2003. The successful bid for the games was made in the mid-1990s, when Dominican Republic had one of the highest growth rates in Latin America. All 42 PASO countries and over 5,223 athletes pre-registered for the participation in the XIV Pan American Games. An additional 2,425 trainers and delegates attended. The United States pre-registered the most athletes (713) and Saint Lucia entered the least (6). The host country entered 562 athletes. Dandenong Ranges
The Dandenong Ranges (commonly just The Dandenongs) are a set of low mountain ranges, rising to 633 metres at Mount Dandenong, approximately east of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The ranges consist mostly of rolling hills, steeply weathered valleys and gullies covered in thick temperate rainforest, predominantly of tall mountain ash trees and dense ferny undergrowth. After European settlement in the region, the range was used as a major local source of timber for Melbourne. The ranges were popular with day-trippers from the 1870s onwards. Much of the Dandenongs were protected by parklands as early as 1882 and by 1987 these parklands were amalgamated to form the Dandenong Ranges National Park, which was subsequently expanded in 1997. Stephen Huss (tennis)
Stephen Huss (; born 10 December 1975) is a former professional tennis player from Australia. Along with partner Wesley Moodie, he became the first qualifier to win the Wimbledon men's doubles championship in 2005, beating the 6th, 9th, 3rd, 1st & 2nd seeds in the process. His Wimbledon title was only his second doubles title on the ATP tour after his 2002 success at Casablanca with Myles Wakefield. Huss played tennis collegiately at Auburn University in the United States from 1996 to 2000, where he was an All-American in doubles in 1998 and in singles in 2000. She turned professional in November 2005, and achieved a career-best ranking of No. 21 in June 2009, making her the fifth highest-ranked Canadian singles player of all time.
