Milagres (band)
Milagres is an American indie rock band from Brooklyn, NY. The band was founded in 2006 under a different name and lineup, and independently released an album, Seven Summits, in 2008. After some lineup changes and regional touring, the band changed its name to Milagres and began writing and recording what would later become their second record. The band signed to the music label Kill Rock Stars in Spring of 2011, and released their national debut, Glowing Mouth, in September 2011. Milagres embarked on several national tours of the US, UK and Europe in support of Glowing Mouth. Kill Rock Stars released the band's follow-up, Violent Light, in 2014. The band toured the US in support of the album and played a headlining release show at Bowery Ballroom. After a short hiatus and a long writing and recording process, Milagres self-released their fourth album, ZIGGURAT in 2018 as a duo. Electric Picnic is an annual arts-and-music festival which has been staged since 2004 at Stradbally Hall in Stradbally, County Laois, Ireland. It is organised by Pod Concerts and Festival Republic, who purchased the majority shareholding in 2009. Bestival
Bestival was a four-day music festival held in the south of England. It had been held annually in the late summer since 2004 at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight. In 2017 the festival relocated to the Lulworth Estate in Dorset. The event was organised by DJ and record producer Rob da Bank along with his wife Josie and was an offshoot of his Sunday Best record label and club nights. The initial Bestival attracted 10,000 people, growing to 50,000 in its final year, 2018. Primavera Sound (commonly referred to as simply Primavera) is an annual music festival held in Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona, Spain that takes place between the end of May and beginning of June. The first edition took place in 2001 in Poble Espanyol and moved to the Parc del Fòrum, a much larger site on the seafront, in 2005. The nature of the festival (urban and an integrated part of the city) and the wide range of bands represented have made Primavera Sound a meeting point for artists and spectators from all generations. South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. It began in 1987 and has continued to grow in both scope and size every year. KCMP (89.3 FM, 89.3 The Current) is a radio station owned by Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) that broadcasts a AAA music format including a significant rotation of songs by local artists.
