Christos Mikes ( gr, Χρήστος Μικές; born 23 September 1971) is a Greek retired professional footballer who played as a defender. Career Mikes started his career with Zavlani. In 1989, he moved to Panachaiki, in where he played the next seven years. In 1996, he went to Kalamata and four years later, he moved to Ionikos. The seasons 2003-04 and 2004-05 he played in Chalkidona F.C. and the season 2005-06 he played in Atromitos after the merge of two clubs. The next season, he moved to Veria,contra.gr

Éva Mikes (22 December 1938. Budapest - 5 February 1986 Budapest.) was a Hungarian pop singer, who rose to fame during the 1960s. Biography Mikes started her music career at the late 1950s at the studio of the Magyar Rádió. Her characteristic voice and tender style made her quickly known throughout the country, along with singers like János Koós or Katalin Sárosi. Best known for her lyrical, romantic songs, she scored the first place in the very first Hungarian Top Hit Chart - published in ''Ifjúsági Magazin'' (Magazine for the Young People) in 1965 with her song ''Te szeress legalább''. She was also popular in other Eastern countries, such as the Soviet Union and Poland (appearing on the Sopot International Song Festival). After the local success of beat music classical pop lost popularity, and she decided to retire. In 1973, after her daughter born, she left the stage and worked as a music teacher. George Mikes ( hu, Mikes György, ; 15 February 1912 – 30 August 1987) was a Hungarian-born British journalist, humorist and writer, best known for his humorous commentaries on various countries. His father, Alfréd Mikes, was a successful lawyer, a profession he wanted his son to follow. Kelemen Mikes
Kelemen Mikes (1690–1761) was a Transylvanian-born Hungarian political figure and essayist, noted for his rebellious activities against the Habsburg monarchy. Mikes is referred to as the "Hungarian Goethe", made famous by his '' Letters from Turkey''. Mihály Mikes de Zabola (? – 1662)Markó 2006, p. 115. was a Hungarian noble in the Principality of Transylvania, who served as Chancellor of Transylvania from 1656 to 1660. Biography He was born into a Transylvanian aristocrat family as one of the five children of Zsigmond Mikes, a member of the Transylvanian Royal Council and Borbála Imecs. He married Borbála Paczolai, they had no children. In his youth at November 1637, he tried to abduct his love Sára Tarnóczy de Királyfalva, with the help of his brothers, János and Pál and their servants, however they were caught in the act. As a result the Mikes brothers were sentenced to death and confiscation of property in 1638, but they fled to Moldavia, where served voivode Vasile Lupu. Mihály Mikes (soldier)
Count Mihály Mikes de Zabola (? – 6 January 1721, in Csesztve) was a Hungarian landowner and aristocrat in Transylvania from the prestigious Mikes family. He served as Captain General of Háromszék (one of the geographical regions of Székely Land) in 1691. He was created Baron by Leopold I in 1693. Three years later he earned the title of Count for his family. Later he was appointed Ispán (Count; ''comes'') of Belső-Szolnok County in 1700. During the Rákóczi's War of Independence, he was captured by the kuruc in 1703. After that he became a supporter of Francis II Rákóczi. He was elected to the Kuruc Senate by the Diet of Marosvásárhely (today: Târgu Mureș, Romania) in 1707. Michael Mikes is a retired American soccer player who spent most of his career with the Colorado Foxes in the American Professional Soccer League. Player Mikes played for Scott Galagher in St. Louis as a child and graduated from St. John Vianney High School. He attended the University of Evansville, playing on the men's soccer team from 1983 to 1986. He was a 1985 Third Team and 1986 Second Team All American. In 2006, the University of Evansville inducted Mikes into the school's Hall of Fame. in 1990, Mikes joined the Colorado Foxes of the American Professional Soccer League, playing for them through at least 1995.
