Mike Small (golfer)
Mike Small (born March 4, 1966) is an American professional golfer and college golf coach. Amateur career Small was born in Aurora, Illinois and grew up in Danville, Illinois. He was a four-time letter winner at Danville High School. He won the Junior Masters in 1984 and went on to play college golf at the University of Illinois. At Illinois, he was a member of the 1988 Big Ten Championship team, where he finished second behind teammate and current PGA Tour member Steve Stricker. Small was named to the All-Big Ten squad and won two tournaments during his senior year, the Butler National Intercollegiate and the Michigan State Spartan Classic. Professional career Small turned professional in 1990 and played on various tours before joining the PGA Tour in 1995. In 1997, he won two Nike Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour) events and finished in the top 15 on the Nike Tour money list, earning his PGA Tour card for the 1998 season. The Illinois Fighting Illini men's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team competing in the Big Ten Conference. Home games are played at the State Farm Center, located on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's campus in Champaign. PGA Cup
The PGA Cup is a men's golf competition for club professionals played between a Great Britain and Ireland team and a United States team. The winning team is presented with the Llandudno Trophy. The competition is run by the British PGA and the PGA of America. It was first played in 1973 and was an annual event until 1984, after which it became biennial. The 2022 event was held at the Foxhills Golf Club in Surrey, England, the second time that the course had been chosen to host the event. The Open Championship
The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Masters Tournament
The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. PGA Club Professional Championship
The PGA Professional Championship is a golf tournament for golf club professionals and teachers who are members of the Professional Golfers' Association of America. It has been held by the PGA of America since 1968, when touring professionals split off to found the PGA Tour. It was known as the PGA Club Professional Championship until 2006 and as the PGA Professional National Championship from 2006 through 2015 Sam Snead and Bob Rosburg are the only players to win a major championship and the PGA Professional Championship. The Illinois Open Championship is a golf tournament that is administered by the Illinois PGA (Professional Golfers' Association). The state championship of golf is a 54-hole championship over three days to determine the finest player in the state of Illinois. The tournament is open to professionals and amateurs with a handicap of 10 or less who reside within the state of Illinois. In 2015, for the first time in the history of the Illinois Open, the Illinois PGA changed the format of the event having it contested at two facilities for the first and second rounds. Patrick Sheehan (golfer)
Patrick Sheehan (born August 9, 1969) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour. Sheehan was born in Providence, Rhode Island. While at the University of Hartford he was teammates with other future PGA Tour golfers Tim Petrovic and Jerry Kelly. He turned professional in 1992 and though he has never won a PGA Tour event, he has finished second on one occasion and third on another. Brian Kamm
Brian Kamm (born September 3, 1961) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Kamm joined the PGA Tour in 1990, earning his card through qualifying school. He struggled during his rookie year on Tour, only cracking the top-50 once but he retained his card through qualifying school. In his second year on Tour his play improved and he recorded a tie for eighth finish at the Canadian Open (golf), Canadian Open. He was also in contention at the 1991 U.S. Open (golf), U.S. Open but shot a final round 79 (+7) and finished in a tie for 31st. He joined the Nationwide Tour in 1992 and quickly found success. He recorded nine top-10 finishes including a win at the Ben Hogan Panama City Beach Classic. This success helped him finish 7th on the money list, good enough for a PGA Tour card for 1993.
