Mike Gandolfo
Mike Gandolfo (born October 3, 1958) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Biography Born in Fort Lauderdale, Gandolfo went to Santa Fe High School. A late comer to the sport, he didn't start taking tennis seriously until the age of 15. He took up a scholarship to Clemson University, where he played number one singles and was MVP of the ACC Tournament which they won in his senior year in 1980. For his efforts that season he was also named ITCA Senior Player of the Year and became Clemson's first tennis All-American. During the early 1980s he competed professionally and reached as high as 75 in the world in doubles, with three semi-final appearances in Grand Prix tournaments. He also won a Challenger tournament in West Germany in 1982 and competed in main draws of the men's doubles at the Australian Open, US Open and Wimbledon. Tenny Svensson (born 21 September 1952) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. ''Biography'' Svensson played a 77-game opening round match against American John Andrews at the 1975 Wimbledon Championships, which he won 18–16 in the fifth set. The match went for 3 hours and 50 minutes. In his next match, against Onny Parun, he had to retire hurt in the second set. He made the quarter-finals in the men's doubles at the 1975 US Open, with Armistead Neely. Also in 1975, Svensson had a win over Björn Borg in a WCT tournament in Stockholm. Derek Tarr
Derek John Tarr (born September 15, 1959) is a former American professional tennis player, originally from South Africa. Career While at Auburn University, Tarr played tennis in the Southeastern Conference and was the singles champion in 1981. In the same year he became Auburn's first ever All-American and would be selected a further two times. Tarr twice made the second round of the singles draw in a Grand Slam tournament. He defeated Mike De Palmer at the 1983 US Open and beat Christophe Roger-Vasselin at the 1984 Wimbledon Championships. His best performance on tour came in the 1984 Cincinnati Open, part of the Grand Prix Tennis Championship Series, where he reached the round of 16. Chris Johnstone (born 12 October 1960) is a former professional tennis player from Australia. Career Johnstone was runner-up to Pat Serret at the 1978 Australian Junior Championships. John Basil Fitzgerald OAM (born 28 December 1960) is a former professional tennis player from Australia who played right-handed with a single-handed backhand. Playing career During his career, he won 6 top-tier singles titles and 30 tour doubles titles, including 7 Grand Slam doubles titles.
