Michael Corbett (October 4, 1942 – January 9, 2003) was a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger who played two playoffs games in the National Hockey League for the Los Angeles Kings during the 1967–68 season. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1962 to 1974, was spent in the minor leagues. Early life Corbett was born in Toronto. After playing junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey Association for the Toronto St. Michael's Majors from 1959 to 1962 and the Toronto Neil McNeil Maroons from 1962 to 1963. Career Corbett made his professional debut with the Sudbury Wolves of the Eastern Professional Hockey League in 1962. His participation in the league however was short-lived as the EPHL folded following the season's conclusion, forcing Corbett to look elsewhere to play. Mike Corbett (born January 31, 1972) is an American ice hockey coach who was previously the head coach at Alabama–Huntsville Chargers from 2013 to 2020. Corbett played junior ice hockey for the Wisconsin Capitols of the United States Hockey League from 1990 until 1992 and college ice hockey at Denver from 1992 until 1997. After his playing career, he coached the Butte Irish of the junior A America West Hockey League from 1997–2000 and was named the league's Coach of the Year in his first season. Corbett coached the AWHL's Billings Bulls in 2000–01, before moving to the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL in 2001–02. Michael McGregor Corbett, OMS, LLB (14 September 1923 – 16 September 2007) was a former Chief Justice of South Africa (1989–1996). He served in World War II before going to Trinity Hall, Cambridge to read law in 1946. Early years Michael Corbett was born in Pretoria. His father, Alan Frederick Corbett was born in Worcester, England in 1878. and served as the Commissioner for Inland Revenue. He completed his schooling at Rondebosch Boys' High School in Cape Town before serving in World War II in the South African Navy from 1941 till 1945, retiring with the rank of lieutenant commander. Prior to the war, he enrolled at the University of Cape Town and obtained a BA in 1941. After his active service during the war, he returned and obtained a LL B, After graduating, he was awarded the Elsie Ballot Scholarship and gained entry to study law at Trinity College, Cambridge. Michael Corbett is an American television and Broadway actor and entertainment journalist. He is perhaps best known for his work starring in three daytime soap operas. Acting career Corbett began his career on Broadway. Just two weeks out of college at the Boston Conservatory of Music, he landed a role in the Broadway Musical ''Nefertiti'' starring Andrea Marcoucci. He then went on to play Kenicki in ''Grease'', and the Broadway Production of ''Come Back Little Sheba'' starring Shirley Knight and Philip Bosco. He also starred Off-Broadway with Liz Callaway and Karen Mason in ''The Matinee Kids''. While on Broadway, Corbett was cast as Michael Pavel Jr. on ''Ryan's Hope'', by a casting director who had seen him in a play. He played the role from 1979 to 1981.
