Mika Yamaji
Mika G. Yamaji (born January 3, 1978) is a film director, screenwriter, poet and author. She graduated from Brown University with a double major in Economics and English literature. At Brown, she wrote and directed her first play, ''Glock 17''. Upon graduation, Mika wrote, directed and two short films in Tokyo with sponsorship from Nikkatsu Studios. The National Arts Council (NAC) is a statutory board established on 15 October 1991 to oversee the development of arts in Singapore. It is under the purview of the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth. The NAC provides grants, scholarships, awards and platforms for arts practitioners, as well as arts education and programmes for the general public. Nikkatsu
is a Japanese entertainment company known for its film and television productions. It is Japan's oldest major movie studio, founded in 1912 during the silent film era. The name ''Nikkatsu'' amalgamates the words Nippon Katsudō Shashin, literally "Japan Motion Pictures". Shareholders are Nippon Television Holdings (35%) and SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation (28.4%).
