Mihran Hakobyan
Mihran Hakobyan ( hy, Միհրան Հակոբյան; born February 18, 1984) is an Armenian sculptor. He created the 2014 ''Wikipedia Monument'' in Słubice, the first one of its type. Biography Mihran Hakobyan was born in Stepanakert. His father, sculptor Armen Hakobyan (1941–1990), died during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. From 2000 to 2006, he studied sculpting at the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts. He thereafter worked in his profession in Armenia and Russia, participated in several exhibitions in Stepanakert and Yerevan. In 2001, he became a member of the Artists Union of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. In 2011, he participated in an international symposium on sculpture in Shusha. Hakobyan mainly creates sculptures of stone, wood or bronze. Collegium Polonicum
The Collegium Polonicum in Słubice is a joint academic unit of the Adam Mickiewicz University (Polish: Uniwersytet im. Adama Mickiewicza) in Poznań and of the Viadrina European University (German: Europa-Universität Viadrina) in Frankfurt (Oder). Its focus is on interdisciplinary scientific research and teaching on German-Polish, European, intercultural and cross-border issues. Collegium Polonicum is also a branch (Polish: ''filia'') of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Słubice, in whose building this joint unit is physically based. This building had been erected in the years 1992-2001 by the Adam Mickiewicz University for the purpose of joint research and teaching activities with the Viadrina European University. Leonid Georgievich Yengibarov ( hy, Լեոնիդ Ենգիբարյան; russian: Леонид Георгиевич Енгибаров; March 15, 1935 – July 25, 1972) was a Soviet Armenian clown and actor. Biography Leonid Yengibarov was born in Moscow to an Armenian father and a Russian mother. He started his career as a boxer. In 1955 he joined the State School of Circus Art, Clownship department. He graduated from Circus school with skills in juggling, acrobatics, and hand balancing. After graduation in 1959 he moved to Yerevan and joined the Armenian state circus. He was one of the first Soviet clowns to create the poetic, intellectual clownery, which made spectators think, not only laugh.
