Miha Blažič (footballer)
Miha Blažič (born 8 May 1993) is a Slovenian football defender who plays for Ligue 1 club Angers and the Slovenia national team. Club career Blažič signed his first professional contract with Koper at the age of 17. On 31 August 2017, Blažič signed a three-year deal with Ferencváros. With Ferencváros, he won four consecutive league titles, from 2018–19 to 2021–22. He also played in the 2020–21 UEFA Champions League group stage after his team eliminated Molde in the play-offs. On 4 June 2022, he joined Ligue 1 side Angers on a three-year contract. International career Blažič played for all Slovenian national youth teams from under-16 to under-21, with four years as a captain. He debuted for the senior team on 2 June 2018 in a friendly match against Montenegro. Slovenia National Football Team
The Slovenia national football team ( sl, Slovenska nogometna reprezentanca) represents Slovenia in men's international football and is controlled by the Football Association of Slovenia, the governing body for football in Slovenia. The squad is under the global jurisdiction of FIFA and is governed in Europe by UEFA. It competes in the three major professional tournaments available to European nations: the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Nations League and the UEFA European Championship. Slovenia played its first official match in 1992, one year after the country gained independence from Yugoslavia. The majority of Slovenia's home matches are played at Stožice Stadium in Ljubljana. Radiotelevizija Slovenija ( en, Radio-Television of Slovenia) – usually abbreviated to RTV Slovenija (or simply RTV within Slovenia) – is Slovenia's national public broadcasting organization. The 2017–18 Nemzeti Bajnokság I (also known as 2017–18 OTP Bank Liga), also known as NB I, was the 119th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league was officially named ''OTP Bank Liga'' for sponsorship reasons. Honvéd were the defending champions, having won their fourteenth Hungarian league title.
