Miguel Pedro Mundo
Miguel Pedro Mundo (July 25, 1937 – May 18, 1999) was an American-born bishop of the Catholic Church in Brazil. In the Diocese of JataÃ, he served as Auxiliary Bishop from 1978 to 1999, then Bishop of Jataà for the last three months of his life. Biography Born in Staten Island, New York, Mundo was ordained a priest on May 19, 1962, for the Diocese of Camden in New Jersey. On March 6, 1978, Pope Paul VI appointed him as the Titular Bishop of ''Blanda Julia'' and Auxiliary Bishop of JataÃ. He was consecrated by Bishop George Guilfoyle of Camden on June 2, 1978. The principal co-consecrators were Bishop Benedict D. Coscia, O.F.M., of Jataà and Camden Auxiliary Bishop James Schad. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Camden is a Roman Catholic diocese of the Latin Church in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It consists of 62 parishes and about 475,000 Catholics in the Southern Jersey counties of Atlantic, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem. The Bishop of Camden presides from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden, although most major ceremonies are held at Saint Agnes Catholic Church in Blackwood. James Louis Schad (July 20, 1917 – March 27, 2002) was a bishop of the Catholic Church in the United States. He served as an auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Camden from 1966 to 1993. Biography Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, James Schad grew up in Vineland, New Jersey where he graduated from Sacred Heart High School. He studied for the priesthood at St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore and was ordained a priest on April 10, 1943, for the Diocese of Camden. His pastoral assignments as a priest and bishop included St. Rose of Lima parish in Haddon Heights, St. Anne's parish in Westville, Most Holy Redeemer parish in Westville Grove, Maris Stella parish in Avalon and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden.
